You may be surprised to know that at Brooks Estates, don’t tend to participate in #NoMowMay.
Why? There are a few reasons for this…
As the managing agent, we have to honour our service charge budgets and by not cutting the grass for this amount of time, it actually raises the costs as more cuttings need to be removed from site. By only leaving the grass for one month, this allows nature to move in and create a home, which is then later mown back again destroying these newly-formed habitats.
So instead, we identify spaces to permanently have wildflower areas and create lasting habitats that benefit the local environment.
Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond the lawn, and we’re focusing on alternative ways to support biodiversity and ecosystem health. Are you a resident of ours and would like to see more of this on your development? Get in touch and let us know!
